Tipsy pots

I saw this idea at a local craft show last summer and when my mom brought over a her collection of clay pots for our rummage sale last month I decided to give it a try. Basically all you do is stick a piece of rebar into the ground to support the tower and then thread the pots on (through the drainage holes in the bottom) then lean them over each other until you get the angle you want and/or until they stay put. It helps to have the potting soil in them when you do this. I even tried hanging some from a tree and while I like how they look, it's just not going to last in the wind here.

There are some great pictures and more directions online if you just *google* tipsy pots. This one was really helpful:

This one is just a really unique take on the idea:

For the Elizabeth Kartchner blog challenge... it was a nice cool morning to mow the lawn.

More fun

Cody and Gunnar watching the show.
Jake helped the girls light their fireworks, but they came up with the coordinating dances and poses all by themselves (see below). Cute!

Fireworks Fun

Belle was pretty preoccupied until she got her loose tooth out, then she moved on to the fun stuff.
Gunnar loved playing with his ball and Lola (thankfully Lola didn't bite a hole in it!).
My new favorite pic!
